Speaking Engagements

Alexis Casillas has participated in more than a hundred trainings and speaking engagements over the past decade. Typically she collaborates with her audience to provide a researched program tailored to their goals and needs.  Below are a sample of some of the presentations she has made:

  • Creator and Instructor of COPAA's Student Rights Intiative - an interactive program that teaches students to become self-advocates and participate in their educational planning

  • Keeping the "I" in IEE- While the law contemplates some restrictions on school district funded independent evaluations, this session discusses which criteria are valid, and how to push back when faced with unreasonable limitations
